Update from the Kitchen - July 1st 2020

I never know how to start updates like this. 2020 has certainly not been the year we expected. For many, it has been a very difficult year so far. We’re all a little stir crazy and not really certain exactly what the next day, week, month or summer will look like.  Our world has changed, permanently. And while the news will tell you about the bad things, here’s what Becca’s Gourmet Goodies is taking out of this situation:
1)  We’re stronger than we thought!
Last year we couldn’t have imagined what 2020 would bring. But you know what? We’re still here and stronger than ever. We’ve been able to shift our business model, keep giving back by supporting our local food banks and community organizations, hold on to our values, and continue to support our customers. We know that we’ll continue to be around in the long run!
2)  Support for local options and small businesses is strong and GROWING!
While Covid-19 has had devastating consequences for many local small businesses, people have stepped up! We have seen a huge surge of support for local small businesses like ours and, like other small business owners, we will never have enough words of thanks. People are seeing the benefit of local business, local food and that small businesses give so much more to the community than they take. We expect that support to continue to grow this week, this month, and throughout the years.
3)  Where you’ll see us and where you won’t – but we have a solution to that too!
As a small business we’re tasked with doing the best that we can for our staff, aka Kirk and I, our customers, and our markets. There are so many factors to consider, and sometimes the decisions to be made are hard and frankly can suck. We both have risk factors, our family members have risk factors, and we need to do everything we can to keep everyone safe. That being said, we have made the VERY difficult decision to take a break from the Vail Farmer’s Market and Art Show until 2021. We’re working on a plan to continue to serve our Vail customers and we welcome your suggestions.

Here is where you WILL find us:

  • Aspen Saturday Market, Saturdays from 8:30-1

  • Steamboat Farmer’s Market, Saturdays from 9-2

  • You can always find us online at www.BeccasGourmetGoodies.com.

  • We continue to be a part of:

    • The Locals at Parker and Southlands

    • Curate Mercantile

    • Maker’s Market in Southwest Plaza

  • We’ve also joined with other local vendors to provide an exciting new option:  www.ColoradoRootzMarket.com. Customers in much of Northern Colorado can order online for local pick up or home delivery through this new service.

We’re looking for more ways to serve you, and have a couple of projects up our sleeves for the near future! We will keep you updated with all the exciting new developments via our social media and this weekly newsletter. We welcome your feedback, and would love to include you in our updates too! If you have a creative way you use our products please let us know and maybe you will be included in a future issue of our newsletter!

Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you soon,
Becca
